Strategic Business Coach | Executive Coaching For Revenue Growth

I get asked a lot by friends, family and strangers what I do for a living.
My answer is always the same, “I help to influence positive effective change within the lives and businesses of individuals and organizations”.
I started as a Small Business Coach in Denver a few years ago after a few stints with some startup companies. I had been through the rigors of the grind, made some impacts within those organizations, although had a level of unfulfilled accomplishments that was present within me.
I began consulting for medium level organizations, going in and analyzing systems, processes, integrations, understanding their flow and dynamics and I began to realize one very important aspect of business.
Business is a microcosm of the minds that were involved in its decision making process.
It seems redundant I know…
Although, when we think about our daily business routines, the habits, behaviors, the work…and then reflect back, we begin to see that they are directly effected by our personal states of mind. If we are having an off day, angry, sad, or just blah…well this effects our production, our concentration, focus and ultimately our decision making.
I began to realize that the majority of problems with businesses were not the dynamic system of integration that made it work, that was easy! Instead it was the component of human integration. The part were we fit in. Whenever we look at a business and try to find some type of flex point, a place where there has been a rapid decline of production, we usually would look at the systems that outline this department and find where any err was made, whether in the management or process flow.
One thing that is really never considered is that Joe might be going through a divorce, it started back in March, the last 2 quarters have seen a rapid decline in the sales numbers. The sales teams are doing their part and nothing in the system dynamic has changed. Yet what did change was Joe; Joe was no longer the same Sales Manager.

All Transformation Begins in the Mind
See, this situation is an actual client of mine that I consulted for. What everyone was failing to see was the level of influence that Joe, the Sales Manager had on his team. How he structured their day, made silly games to drive competition. It was the little things…It was the skills that were not on the resume that made the difference. When Joe was going through a divorce, his personality, mood and mindset shifted. He became a quiet manager, kept to himself and drastically reduced his interaction with his team.
By the time I arrived on scene, almost 6 months into this rapid decline of revenue, everyone had forgotten about the way things were before Joe began the process of his divorce. As a Small Business Coach in Denver, I was able to sit down with the team and ask the appropriate questions. I was able to establish a timeline of the revenue decline and from there analyze the human component that integrated into the workplace culture.
Good news is, Joe kept his job. Actually, after the problem was identified, the problem immediately went away. Joe was in a depressed state, this came about from his emotional dealings that were occurring in his personal life, although after this was brought to the surface, Joe began to become himself again. He started interacting and creating silly games for his team. His mood, demeanor and mindset started to shift, it actually helped him greatly in his personal life. As well, the next quarter sales numbers increased almost 20% back to par. Within 2 quarters they exceeded their annual goals and moved back on the track of being the kick butt team they were.

It was through engagements like this that I discovered the real importance of being a Mindset Business Coach. There is a factor of coaching that is more than consulting. It is the human component, the mindset, the interactions of individuals in a work place that cause most all problems within any business environment. I had found my purpose.
These days, I consult for businesses of all sizes and travel all around the United States and International. Although my passion lies within consulting smaller organizations, I have found more positive impact can come by expanding out.
